Ricky Williams, born to Wilburn Williams and Verta L. Williams in Marshall, Texas. He was baptized at an early age of 12 years old. He began to preach also at an early age. His father in the gospel is Dr. W. F. Washington Sr., Minister Golden Heights Church of Christ. He attended Wiley College (Marshall, Texas) home of The Great Debate and graduated with a B.S. degree in Organizational Management, with special studies on religion, counseling, humanities and philosophy. Bro. Williams is married to Janice Taylor of Marshall, Texas, they have 4 chidren Patrick, Demetrius, Jhazmyne and Jhalyssa.
During the years from 1982 to 1985 he shared pulpit responsibilities with Willie Marshall (Minister of Harrison St, Church of Christ, Longview, Texas). These two individuals aided two churches that had no minister. They worked with Valley View Church of Christ in Gilmer, Texas and New Zion Church of Christ in Marshall, Texas.
In May of 1985, Ricky and Janice worked with Shady Grove Church of Christ in Jefferson, Texas. From there 1990 -2005 they moved to Bear Springs Church of Christ in Harleton, Texas and in August of 2005 God moved them to the Piedmont Church of Christ in Gilmer, Texas.
